I spent one month, over this last summer, in northern Ghana, West Africa. It was one of the most challenging and exciting times in my life. The weather was excruciatingly hot, the food was low in protein leaving us low in energy, I was confronted for the first time with true poverty, and found myself irrevocably changed. I learned to truly count myself blessed for everything I have. Through this experience I also found an insatiable curiosity for the human condition. Now, almost six months after my return from Ghana I'm preparing for the next journey. I leave next week for Malta. For those of you who are saying, "Where the heck is Malta?" It is a tiny island in the Mediterranean sea sixty miles south of Sicily. I can't wait to jump once again into the unknown. In order to keep in contact with all you lovely people I will be leaving weekly posts and photos on this blog! So check it out!
